So tell us a little bit about your background.
I have been working in the print, packaging and POS industry for the last 30 or so years. Starting out as a graduate and working my way up and into all the various elements that go into producing premium retail print. I’m an old stager in the industry and have seen many developments in technology and materials along the way, but it’s those first firm roots in old school production that have given me a firm understanding of the true mechanics of how a job is produced.

What attracted you to coming to join us at Wilmot Budgen?
Honestly it was simply their reputation within the industry as a well-respected company with solid foundations. Everything I have heard in the marketplace about WB has been absolutely correct and I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and making a start.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m a people person so being part of a team who genuinely seem to be positive and happy in their work is a great motivator. I’m looking forward to taking that same energy out to meet new clients and forming relationships, which is always the best bit of a business development role.

Who would be your dream client?
I’m looking predominantly at retail, F&B and electrical but I’m not going to lie… my dream client would have to be one of the big names in confectionary. It really is like being a kid in a candy store when you get to visit some of these head offices.

And lastly anything we need to know about you? Any little quirks or office rituals?
Hailing from Yorkshire originally I am a Leeds fan… but I’m terrible at making a proper Yorkshire brew. I talk to myself when I type but that’s normal right?
