We’re delighted to feature in the current edition of Manufacturing Today, an on and offline magazine that focuses on industry best practice across European manufacturing.
The article focuses on the development of the company and future growth plans for the business which makes for very interesting reading for any of our clients, current or future.
Having acquired a third site adding 10,000 sq ft to the existing 60,000 sq ft portfolio, further adds to our ability to offer a complete in-house solution and adapt to changing markets and industry demands.
The article reads:
With its own design, manufacturing and logistics facilities under one roof, Wilmot Budgen is able to meet all of the sales promotional and product display requirements of its many, and varied, customers. Design innovation, structural solutions, timely production and efficient logistics are the cornerstones of the company’s service, with it priding itself on its ability to constantly evolve its offering to meet rapidly changing industry demands.
Hearing from our MD Richard Budgen who says:
“The plan for our third and newest facility is for it to become the home of litho printing, while our original site will transition to become purely for point of sale production, packaging and distribution“
With a specific focus on manufacturing process and best practice, they were keen to highlight our structure when it comes to delivering the highest quality work product time again:
Within its facilities, Wilmot Budgen applies a lean manufacturing structure, which allows it to have a high degree of production flexibility. All of the company’s services are fully integrated to provide the best delivery system for its customers’ needs and expectations. The client management process begins with the creativity that is at the centre of everything the company does, providing the design edge it has become known for.
The article also focuses on our ability to produce working models prior to production to minimalise risk along with our commitment to reducing waste and ensuring that the job is right first time using a high level of quality management.
We’re very proud of our success and we count having long term relationships with some of the biggest names in the UK as a testament to both the quality of the product and service that we offer. We are always looking to adapt to different technologies and market changes which Richard sums up.
“This is a market that is always evolving and is one that requires companies such as ours to be reactive, flexible and able to cater for smaller, more personal promotional campaigns which have recently become the norm. In response to this we have continued with our programme of investment, putting money into the development of a new Management Information System. We will also soon be investing in new equipment that will ensure that we remain best placed to react the quickest when it comes to servicing our client’s needs.”
